With the 4th Quarter come many updates and great news for the Guanacaste Country Club.

Setena, the environmental impact authority of Costa Rica, has visited the site and performed various tests bringing us closer to our final approval. We have had VERY positive feedback from our Inspector. The very special attributes that have been addressed include four water sources, a native tree nursery onsite, all other permits for utilities in place, reforesting the land with over 60,000 trees and, most of all, the first community to carry the International LEED Platinum Certification which made the inspection a big hit.

Even more exciting, Costa Rica Equity Group and ERA Costa Rica will be bringing worldwide attention to Costa Rica in the area of Environmental Technologies by creating a monitoring command center for all energy usage in this and other qualifying communities. This has made the Guanacaste Country Club, Environmentally, Socially and Technologically, one of the most important developments in Costa Rica.

LOTS OF WATER FOUND ON SITE!! The digging of the water well exceeded expectations. At 130 meters deep with an 8 inch diameter we confirmed and certified another of water supply for the entire project . Check out the photos of what we found HERE. This represents a fourth source of fresh water creating an ideal environmentally responsible situation, and not stressing any one water source.

To create perfection in the golf course, a high tech survey was completed for every ½ meter of elevation on the property site. We have hired experienced golf designer Lee Singletary (www.sgsgolf.com) to continue to improve the golf course. Lee has designed, consulted, developed, or managed on over 50 golf courses throughout the United States. We are excited to welcome Lee to the team.

All of these designs, and many more to come, will be built by Sunstruck Homes, SA and will be the first and only new construction homes in Costa Rica to carry the LEED Certification.
